Are there established relationships with a broad network of multi-mode carriers? Does the 3PL offer real-time, fully integrated IT capabilities, including automated systems for transportation, visibility, customs clearance, and track and trace? Is there a cultural alignment between the 3PL and the client? Does the 3PL offer a global footprint for door-to-door service? Is there a broad range of services and tiered options, from basic to guaranteed? Does the 3PL offer supply chain engineering and analysis capability to optimize customers’ operations? FOR TRUCKING SERVICE PROVIDERS: ■ ■ ■ Does the trucking provider offer competitive rates and services? What about proven reliability, documented by Watchdog or other tracking services? Does the trucking provider offer full electronic data integration throughout operations, offering real-time information? What about high-quality equipment? Does the trucking provider offer adequate depth of service in the required regions? What about ﬂexible scheduling and service options? Evaluate the trucking provider’s experience. Plaintiffs claim that Deutsche Lufthansa AG, Lufthansa Cargo AG and Swiss International Air Lines Ltd., along with numerous other air cargo carriers, conspired to fix the prices of air cargo shipping services in violation of U.S. antitrust laws and Canadian competition law. The Settlements provide an $85 million U.S. Fund to pay valid class member claims, and $5.338 million USD Canadian Fund that Canadian Class Counsel will request to have held in trust for future benefit of the Canadian classes. Who is a Class Member? You are a class member if you purchased air cargo shipping services, from ANY cargo carrier, for shipments within, to or from either the United States or Canada. This also includes services purchased through freight forwarders. All you need to know is in the Notice of Proposed Settlement, including information on who is or is not a class member. How do I get Payment in the U.S. Settlement? You must file a Claim Form. To obtain a Claim Form, and for information on deadlines, call the number below or visit www.aircargosettlement.com.
