Boat U.S. - January 2008 - (Page Intro) MAGAZINE Dear BoatU.S. Magazine Reader: Welcome! With New Year’s just around the corner, we thought this would be a great time to take the wraps off of a new Association offering — the digital version of BoatU.S. Magazine. As you can see to the right, not only is the January issue of BoatU.S. Magazine reproduced in living color, but it is has many features that make it very attractive. Personally, I find the ability to keyword search the entire magazine to be a great benefit. Being able to click on an advertiser’s web address and go directly to their website saves a lot of time and effort. Another great feature is the fact that you can copy a particular article and e-mail it to a friend. Plus, for those of us who are type-size challenged, you can increase the point size of the type making it much easier on your eyes! For our members who are now on their boats or planning some extended cruising, your magazine is as close as a computer plus you don’t have to wait for your mail to catch up with you! This digital version of BoatU.S. Magazine is being made available at no extra charge to all BoatU.S. members who have supplied us with an e-mail address. You don’t have to do anything further to continue to receive the digital version. Meanwhile, your print version should arrive shortly. However, should you wish to save a boatload of trees from being cut down, we would be happy to send you this digital version and stop mailing you a printed version of the magazine. To do so, just click on this link and type in your name, address and member number. http://www.boatus.com/magazineoptout/ We’ll handle all of the rest. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this new feature and, as always, feel free to contact me at Msciulla@BoatUS.com with your thoughts and comments. Cordially, Michael Sciulla Editor and Publisher http://www.boatus.com/magazineoptout/
