The school is open to all students and, according to Paul Koehler, principal and teacher, 40 percent of the students enrolled are from the 12 sponsoring Lutheran congregations, while 60 percent are from the community at large. “We educate the whole child, spiritually, intellectually, socially, physically, and emotionally,” says Koehler. Feedback from parents indicates that small class size allows teachers to get to know each student, and the Christcentered education builds character. Lake Region Christian School is the only private school that offers classes from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade.
