Bay Harbor Company and Bay Harbor Lake Marina have successfully secured the Great Lakes region for Hacker Craft and are thrilled to be a part of the Hacker Craft legend. The dealership, Great Lakes Hacker-Craft, will serve all of Michigan and the regions surrounding the Great Lakes from one hundred miles west of Chicago to as far southeast as Canton, Ohio. Two of the boats will make their debut at the Grand Rapids boat show February 13-17 at the DeVos Place located in downtown Grand Rapids. The third boat will arrive around the end of May. The Hacker story began in early 20th century from limousines on the water to quick and nimble sport boats, Hacker-Crafts are fully customizable to provide ultimate distinction. For the Great Lakes region, a new design will be specially modeled with a wider beam and higher freeboard to accommodate both Great Lakes and inland lakes boating. Hacker-Craft fully embodies the Bay Harbor lifestyle and will complement the existing boating culture in the region. Considered to be “the nautical center of the Great Lakes”, Bay Harbor is the ideal setting for these distinctive craft. To bring antique and wooden boat enthusiasts together, Bay Harbor will be host to a Classic Boating Club which will partake in monthly rendezvous to local harbors. For Great Lakes HackerCraft, the future is full of possibility. With the perfect boat, the ideal harbor and a dedicated and professional staff, these craft are sure to be in high demand. The first three Hacker-Crafts available for purchase at the new Bay Harbor location will arrive in June of 2008.
