After moving operations from Wilmington, North Carolina, to Oconto, Wisconsin, less than six months ago, “The Offshore Authority” is already feeling right at home in northern Wisconsin. The move to the Badger State was really a home-coming event. According to KCS International Inc. President Jim Viestenz, the Rampage Sport Fishing Yachts line was actually built in Wisconsin long before moving to North Carolina in 2004. Viestenz says KCS International took this step in an effort to enhance the overall offshore fishing yachts brand. “We firmly believe that putting both Rampage Sport Fishing Yachts and Cruisers Yachts under one roof will only continue to advance the overall emphasis we place on producing the highest quality marine products.” Viestenz says the first Rampage Yacht rolled off the line in Oconto in time for the Miami International Boat Show in February. Thousands of boating enthusiasts stepped aboard Rampage Sport Fishing Yachts’ new 41 Express Double Stateroom in Miami. It was the first public viewing of the 41foot vessel. According to Viestenz, the 41 Express double stateroom is the perfect example of the company’s response to customer demand. “We understand that performance, function and form are as important to the competitive sportsman as they are to the weekend warrior, especially as the popularity of sport fishing increases both nationally and internationally.” The 41’s new double cabin configuration meets the Rampage Sport Fishing Yachts performance standards for fishability, comfort, safety and durability. The production line saw the hull of a 33 Express, while the mold of a 30 Express was sent to the lamination department.
