Solutions - Issue Eight - (Page 11) EXPANDING OUR TALENT James Q. Dickerson III, PE, PLS, was named Manager of Buchart Horn's Batesville, Mississippi office. His more than 30 years experience with the Mississippi Department of Transportation included 10 years as a District Engineer where he directed the completion of the four-lane US 82, four-lane US 61 and the first section of I-69 in the nation. Throughout his career he has championed project management, quality assurance, constructability review, and construction management. Mr. Dickerson is currently completing the design of a five mile, $20,000,000 segment of I-69 in Tennessee. He holds a BSCE from the University of Mississippi and serves on the Mississippi State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. Ann Stacey, Client Services Director for Buchart Horn, was honored as one of the Top 50 Women in Business for 2007 by Governor Ed Rendell. Each year a panel of judges from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development selects 50 women from a pool of candidates based on their dedication to business growth, professional and personal achievements, community involvement and advocacy for women in business. Ann Stacey Honored Betsy Clapsaddle, LEED® Accredited Professional, has joined Buchart Horn's Nashville office as a Senior Landscape Architect. With her BLA from Ball State University's College of Architecture and Planning, she brings more than eight years of master site planning, landscape architecture, streetscape and design experience. Ms. Clapsaddle’s project experience includes master planning for a mixed-use marina village with a construction value of $10,000,000 and developing a master plan and project attributes for a mixed-use town center featuring residence/commercial spaces and waterfront recreation. She is currently involved in the design of the Susquehanna Riverfront Park and ADA accessibility upgrades for 11 Metro Nashville Libraries. Jason A. Snyder, PE, joins Buchart Horn as a Transportation and Civil Engineering Project Manager. He earned his BSCE from Lafayette College and has 15 years of transportation, traffic and roadway engineering, land development, construction management, and surveying experience. Mr. Snyder was previously involved with the design of the Dauphin, the Lewistown, and the Loganville Bypass projects; the Grove Road bridge replacement; and the Spring Grove Roundabout. Current projects include traffic and land development plans for the new Dallastown Intermediate School and the Nyes Road Corridor. Jason is an active member of the American Public Works Association, the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Pennsylvania Association of Township Engineers. Governor Appoints Harry Rutledge to Architectural Board Pennsylvania Governor Edward G. Rendell has appointed Harry R. Rutledge, FAIA, RIBA, to the Pennsylvania State Architects Licensure Board. Mr. Rutledge was a Senior Vice President of Buchart Horn and led the Firm's architectural practice. He continues to serve the Firm as an architectural consultant. The board is one of 27 professional and occupational licensing bodies under the Pennsylvania Department of State. It provides professional licensing to protect the public from fraudulent and unethical practitioners.
