Those include oilfield construction, hauling, painting, tank coating, sandblasting, insulation, repairs and maintenance. “Nobody can surpass us,” President Chalmas Stinson exclaims. “We provide the most services and the most quality.” Clarkco has remained popular with customers by going the extra mile to make sure jobs are done correctly. “Our customers like us because we solve problems for them,” Stinson says. “We take care of it. When something on the job needs to be done, even if it means making a sacrifice, we just take care of it. Oilfields need to be maintained, and our customers know they get the best quality and service from us. A lot of our business has come from word-of-mouth.” Business has been good for Clarkco lately. Stinson says revenues are up 20 percent from last year and the company has all of its employees and equipment tied up with projects. However, the company is still concerned about the economy. When it comes to expansion, Stinson says he’s taking a wait-and-see attitude. Currently, Clarkco operates in Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana and Texas.
