International and Multicultural Programs, Ministry and Ser vice 11 fast facts p Service trips are supported in part by the p In our Intercultural Living Center, American and foreign students gain appreciation for each other’s heritages by living, learning and cooking together. p In addition to scores of activities, our Residence Hall Association’s wildly creative Mr. Canisius Pageant, a fun competition whose crowds grow bigger every year. p Reflection is a cornerstone of Campus Office of Multicultural Programs offers valuable advice, resources and leadership development. It’s also a neat place to hang out. p Using poetry, prose and other techniques, Ministry, stressing awareness of and response to issues such as poverty and social justice. p Spiritually, Canisius is a student parish. Mass the Canisius College Performance Troupe presents multicultural and urban issues on and off campus. p New York, New Orleans and Appalachia in our intimate Christ the King Chapel is often celebrated by candlelight or accompanied by our student Contemporary Music Ensemble, and services mark special occasions. p Off-campus retreats are scheduled for are just some of the locations for popular Winter Service Week and Alternative Spring Break programs. p International service destinations include several weekends each year and are often led by students. Some are planned for specific groups, such as seniors or pre-med students, or for men or women only.
