The Canisius p Start your college career with our Student Activities Fair during Welcome Weekend and you’ll want to plunge right in – Canisius students’ passion for their clubs and activities is legendary. p Welcome Weekend, which launches the Cinema presents big-screen viewings of first-run movies. Griffins After Dark parties feature karaoke, fusion games, casino nights and other fun stuff. Thursday Night Java Jams bring in music, comics and more. p Division I games are big events. Join the academic year, and Spring Fest, which wraps it up, bookend a calendar full of campus-wide events. Many are traditions, like Family Weekend, the Martin Luther King Jr. celebration, Senior Week, and the Mr. Canisius Pageant. p Many student organizations collaborate on C-Block cheering section and supply audible encouragement. p Look forward to big-name entertainment, our award-winning International Fest, which celebrates cultural diversity with activities, food and entertainment. p All clubs and organizations, including club too. Recent appearances include One Republic, Dashboard Confessional, Ben Folds, Jewel, Montel Jordan, VH-1’s Best Week Ever, Discovery Channel’s Myth Busters, and Ghost Hunter. p Our long and constantly growing list of sports, are run by students. And you really can start your own – the Pet Rescue Society, club hockey and the Animation Society are just a few newcomers. p Most clubs stage an annual event, and many intramural and club sports means you get to play and compete at something you love. p The Undergraduate Student Association are co-sponsored. Samples include the African American Society’s Taste of Africa and Afro Ball, the German Club’s Oktoberfest, Sig Ep’s Poker Night and the Commuter Student Association’s Eco-Friendly Fair.
