Costs for 2007-2008 Academic Year * Tuition and Fees: $26,427 Room and Board: $9,770 * As of 07/2007 Canisius offers a priority consideration deadline of November 15. If you apply by this time, you will receive your admissions decision and scholarship notification by December 15. If you choose this option, you will still have until May 1, the national Candidates’ Reply Date Agreement, to make your college decision. Canisius adheres to a rolling admission policy, however all high school seniors are encouraged to apply by March 1 of their senior year for full and equal consideration. Transfer students and those applying for spring semester admission are encouraged to apply at least four months prior to the semester they wish to enroll. Applicants can typically expect a decision between four to six weeks after submitting your application for admission. Students who are accepted for admission at Canisius are automatically evaluated for admission to the All-College Honors Program and invitations are mailed after January 1 to those who meet initial academic qualifications. If you have a strong desire to participate in the Honors Program, you may contact Bruce Dierenfield, PhD, director of the honors program. Contact information for Dr. Dierenfield may be found at the Honors Program Web site. You will be assessed for an academic scholarship based on your three-year cumulative high school average and highest combined SAT score or ACT composite score. You will be notified about the amount of your academic scholarship award when you receive your admissions decision letter. Canisius’ freshman scholarships range in value from $6,000 to $24,500 per year.
