Some of the notable authors who have visited in the last five years include Tim O’Brien, Gloria Naylor, Richard Russo and Sharon Olds. Not sure of a major? If so, then you are like thousands of other college-bound students across the country. If you enter Canisius as an undeclared student, your academic advisor will personally help you pick classes from our variety of academic disciplines. Experiencing a variety of classes will help you to make a well-informed decision about which major is right for you. Using the one-on-one career counseling services in the Career Center will also help with your decision. p Students involved in European studies and related majors at Canisius may participate in Eurosim, an annual international intercollegiate simulation of the European Union. The site of Eurosim rotates each year and in 2007 Canisius was the host institution. In 2006, students involved in the program spent two weeks over winter break in Prague. Upper-level computer science students get hands-on programming experience working with Sony’s AIBO dog, one of nearly 35 new robots in the Computer Science Department.
