Frisian, Sorbian, Danish and Romanes are spoken as minority languages. Germany is approximately 357,050 sq. km in area, and its population is around 82.5 million, 8.9% of whom are foreign citizens. The capital is Berlin. It is also a member of the OECD (since 1961), the United Nations (since 1973) and the OSCE (since 1975).
