In many cultures entomophagy (insect-eating) is considered both . delicious and nutritious, but the fad hasn’t totally caught on in the United States yet. Enter Edible.com, a U.K.–based website that is trying to make Toffee Scorpion Candy look and taste good, and that conveniently ships to the States in under three weeks. The Edible team travels the world finding exotic items that would make even the most jaded dinner-party guest bite their tongue, which is just what might happen when you replace the mixed nuts with Colombian Giant Toasted Ants. Along with Scorpion Vodka and Lollipops, there’s also Reindeer Pate — a Swedish delicacy — and Thai Curry Crickets from England (great with an ice-cold beer). But if the thought of downing a glass of Lizard Wine or brewing a pot of Weasel Coffee (eaten and regurgitated by weasels before it is roasted) makes you want to, well, regurgitate yourself, then consider some of its more staid stock.
