It’s amazing to think of how both big and small the world is. To think we have the ability to travel from one continent to another in a matter of hours means we’re living in a very special time. Diesel was founded from the very beginning on the principals of a global brand. A brand that absorbs inspiration from unique destinations around the world. From the tiniest island, to the biggest continent, inspiration is there for the taking. Diesel is now in 80 countries, which means that we find like-minded people everywhere we go. These people, where they live, how they think and how they communicate, are the coolest and who inspire us most. It is also because of them that we’ve been able to build this global brand. I try to visit as many countries as I can, but my creative team and I scour photography and travel books daily. We take cues from the people, the way they dress, how they live, 12 CITY TY and the earth’s elements. It’s truly amazing that today, even if you can’t physically visit a destination, you can mentally. This year we’re celebrating 30 years of Diesel. In the true spirit of our global brand, we are throwing the world’s largest party. The party will move through 17 countries, 17 cities, and 8 time zones in one night. Starting in Tokyo, moving through destinations such as Beijing, Dubai, Paris, London, San Paulo, Helsinki, and ending with the grand finale in New York City. People all around the world will be able to join the festivities via Diesel.com live, thanks to the technology age we live in. This is my statement on how unified the world has become and how people from every place on earth want to connect and inspire one another. Enjoy it!
