New USDAA National Event
The U nited States Dog Agility Association announced that they
will hold a first-of-its-kind event to recogni e excellence and performance through accuracy and consistency in the Championship,
Performance, and Veterans titling programs" on une 1 -1 , 201 .
Title Mania," will take place at the PIR Institute in eneva,
Ohio, and will focus on titling classes, not tournaments. ualifications to enter will be based on what level you are competing at
currently ( tarters, Advanced, or Masters). More information will
be available in coming months.

2017 AKC National Agility Championships Quali cations Announced
The qualifying period for the 201 A C ational Agility Championships is December 1, 201 through ovember 30, 201 . For the
Regular classes, competitors need

For Preferred classes, substitute Preferred Premier" for Premier"
above. Preferred dogs may run in either Preferred or Regular classes from December 1, 201 through une 30, 201 (if their owners choose to do so) without impacting Preferred eligibility for the
AC. From uly 1, 201 , through ovember 30, 201 , the dog
must run in Preferred exclusively to enter Preferred at the AC.
Running in other Regular classes (FA T and Time 2 Beat) does not
affect a dog's eligibility to compete in Preferred at the AC.

AKC Adds an Agility Grand Champion Title
In the December Board of Directors minutes (http cdn.akc.org
Board Meeting Minutes December-201 .pdf), the A C announced the creation of a new championship title.
The Agility rand Champion (A CH) recogni es dogs that show
consistency and versatility across all classes of the A C agility
program. To earn the A CH title, the following number of qualifying scores must be earned at the highest level of these classes

I would like to attend a NADAC videotape event that my friends are
having. What do I need to know?
ADAC videotaped runs allow competitors in areas without trials the opportunity to earn s and titles. It also benefits dogs that
don't enjoy busy trial environments. Courses are posted on a regular basis on the ADAC forum, http nadacforum.com index.php
(registration is required). Competitors build the courses they would
like to run in the location of their choosing. ome competitors get
together and have videotaped events" (like you are referring to)
and some people set the courses up in their yard. The first attempt
at each course is the only one that may be submitted for judging.
The video must include everything that a judge would need to see,
including entering the ring on leash, all the down contact ones, all
bars jumped, the handler behind the line while directing the dog in
Chances, putting the leash on before exiting the ring, and so on.
If a videotaped run is believed to be qualifying, the handler should
upload it to YouTube and submit the URL and
through the
ADAC forum. The run is reviewed by ADAC and the competitor is notified whether the run earns a qualifying score or not.
Although ADAC's website (http www.nadac.com VT-VideoTape-Program.htm) still indicates that fifty percent ( 0 ) of the
points earned in each class requirement for a ATCH or Versatility
ATCH must be earned from a traditional ADAC trial," that has
changed. There is no longer a limit to how many s for a ATCH
that can be earned through videotaped runs. D
