Dog Kit continued a Grooming brush a Nail clippers a Towel a Toys (at least two) a Treats a Spare leash and collar a Washcloth: Use to help in keeping your dog cool on hot days a Poop bags Food and Water Water is usually available at the site but I often carry my own since my dog is used to our water at home. Okay, she is spoiled, but I do take one cooler (can keep it colder), which holds two gallons. At times I take two of these if it’s exceptionally hot weather and we will be gone for more than two days. Add ice as needed. Food is also often available at the site or close by. If not, or if you have special needs, you’ll need to bring your own. In warm weather, that means you’ll need a cooler, too. Clothing Kit A carry-on size airline bag is perfect for this. Again I pack enough for at least one extra day should I need to stay longer. Even in the summer, socks and shoes can easily get wet from dew or rainstorms. Having dry socks and shoes is a wonderful thing. Early mornings can be cool, so a light sweater or jacket is nice. Personal Equipment Although this is up to each person, the following is a list of items that can be quite useful at a trial. a Clothing for three days a Extra shoes and socks a Windbreaker or medium-weight sweatshirt a Laundry bag a Raincoat a Checkbook and credit card a Cell phone and charger a Maps and directions a Copy of the premium a Each dog’s jump height card a Basic tools, such as hammer, pliers, and screwdrivers a Flashlight and spare batteries a Sunglasses and hat a Knife a Camera a Roll of paper towels You can easily add or delete from this list. If you camp, you’ll need much more, but for your time at the trial site the above list is thorough. You will have what you need and can focus on your Qs and not what you left at home. Agility trials are about fun, and it’s so much easier when you have what you need. D Hygiene Kit This is the normal stuff you would carry, such as toothbrush and paste, antibacterial soap, regular soap, washcloth and towel, and so on. This is basically a duplicate set that remains prepacked and is ready whenever you need it. Some items may not be necessary if you stay at a motel. Each person has different needs, so what goes in is up to the individual. Basic Equipment These items do not fall under the category of prepacked kits. They take up space and therefore are not kits. If you crate out of your vehicle you may not need everything on this list. Sometimes people who trial together share the cost of this equipment, such as the canopy. a Crate or ex-pen a Pad for in the crate and one for under it a Crate cover (try to find a breathable one, such as a mesh tarp) a Fan (battery operated for summer months) a Extra batteries a Canopy or shade tent (10' by 10' is an ideal size).
