A recent public art installation is literally street art. Artist Helle Scharling-Todd created colored concrete crosswalks at the intersection of Ventura’s River Trail and Stanley Ave. Nearby, the Ventura River Trail serves as an outdoor gallery, 40 works enhance the six-mile trail. Parking garages, bus shelters, even the Harbor Village trash containers include art depictions.
