PRODUCTS 39 Long range Bluetooth module postage-stamp size, offers 1 km plus range The EZURiO BTM402 BISM II module from specialist wireless distributor TDC is a fully qualified Bluetooth version 2.0 solution with a range of up to 1 km, that gives developers a drop-in communications solution requiring minimal integration and no type approval. The range can be further extended by adding high gain directional antenna. Developed specifically for battery powered applications, the module supports low power modes including a sniff mode where consumption is just 2.5 mA. In full operation, it draws a modest 130 mA from a 3.6 V – 5 V dc source. The module measures just 25- x 35- x 8-mm and includes nine general purpose Miniature 3-dB 90 degree couplers high-power WiMAX and W-LAN applications Delivering high performance in wireless systems, the DB0603N 3-dB 90-degree coupler from AVX Corporation features a miniature 0603 package size and low insertion loss of typically 0.2 dB. The couplers suit applications in balanced amplifiers and signal distribution in wireless communications for frequency bands at 3.5, 3.0, 2.4 and 2.14 GHz. Based on proprietary RFAP thin-film multilayer technology, the couplers deliver low parasitics, leading high-frequency performance, rugged construction for automatic assembly, and high power handling of 3 W. RoHS compliant, these miniature devices provide high isolation, amplitude balance of 0.3 dB typical and phase balance of 2 degrees typical. LGA (Land Grid Array) terminations minimize parasitic inductance, while providing further benefits such as inherent low profile, self-alignment during reflow soldering, excellent solderability and better heat dissipation. Terminations are Nickel with a lead-free solder coating compatible with automatic soldering technologies.
