Microwave Engineering Europe - December 2008 - (Page 33) PRODUCTS 33 Combined signal and spectrum analyzers target applications up to 13.6 GHz and 30 GHz Rohde & Schwarz has added two additional combined signal and spectrum analyzers, designated FSV13 and FSV30, to its FSV family: one up to 13.6 GHz and one up to 30 GHz. Benefits include fast measurement speed and easy operation via a touch screen as well as high sensitivity and large-signal immunity. Featuring a DANL of less than -148 dBm (1 Hz) at 13 GHz and less than -144 dBm (1 Hz) at 30 GHz as well as a third order intercept of 15 dBm, the FSV13 and FSV30 can hold their own with high-end instruments. In addition, due to a unique high sweep speed, the FSV performs measurements significantly faster than comparable instruments. Coaxial resonator oscillator delivers lower phase noise and harmonics The CVCO55CXT-6250-6250 coaxial resonator oscillator (CRO) from Crystek employs frequency doubling, 2X fundamental technology to reach new performance levels of lower phase noise and much lower harmonics over the competition, while achieving lower current consumption in the process. This coaxial VCO operates at 6250 MHz with a tuning voltage range of 0.5 Vdc to 4.5 Vdc. It features a typical phase noise of -100 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset and has good linearity. The CRO exhibits an output power of 0.0 dBm typical into a 50 ohm load with a supply of +8.0 Vdc and a typical current consumption of 25 mA. Pushing and pulling are both For users from the aerospace and defense sector, the FSV instruments offer a removable hard drive and USB interfaces that can be deactivated. Like all instruments of the FSV family, the FSV13 and FSV30 support all current mobile radio and wireless standards through software applications. www.mwee.com/212200012 minimized to 1.5 MHz/V and 0.5 MHz, respectively. Second harmonic suppression is -30 dBc typical. The coaxial resonator oscillator is packaged in the industrystandard 1.27- x 1.27-mm (0.5- x 0.5-inch) package. Typical applications include digital radio equipment, fixed wireless access, satellite communications systems, and base stations. www.mwee.com/212200007 Microwave Engineering ● December 2008 ● www.mwee.com http://www.mwee.com/212200012 http://www.mwee.com/212200007 http://www.jfwindustries.com http://www.jfwindustries.com http://www.mwee.com
