Joy can be spread by a personal visit by a
State Officer to each of the 67 courts in the
State of Iowa.

I will spread joy by always being available and
approachable to my sisters in Christ, letting
them know they are important by visiting
I spread the JOY in my state by bringing
members closer to Jesus. I do this by example
in working through our motto of "Unity and
Charity" with lots of hugs and smiles!!
I have emphasized the spirituality and service and
will continue to do so in my second term. Praying
and serving together creates a bond that results
in an increase in the love shared by our members.
I will also pray that the Holy Spirit will help me to
model humility and gratitude for the women in my
state, who inspire me to be better as a Catholic
woman and as a leader in this Order. It is knowing
that all we have and all we do is not of our own
power but the power of God working in us.
Joy can be spread by approaching each State
Board meeting or meetings with local courts
with energy and enthusiasm so they know you
are happy and want to be with them.

Spreading joy is all well and good. We know
that in all things God works for the good of
those who love Him. Romans 8:28
You can only spread what you hold in your
hands. I will take the joy in my heart and place
it in my hands and share it with others.
Scripture tells us to "Rejoice and be glad!" I
would love to see our court members do more
to ignite the spirit of God's joy in one another.
With that in mind, let it begin with me. I believe
we are each a spark of God and need to share
the joyful spirit of God with each other. I want
to promote programs with more smiles and
more sharing of fun times and relate them to
God's goodness. I will smile at each member I
encounter and remind my members to promote
more laughter and joyful thoughts. Prayer is
essential, joy is healing! In our conversations,
may we share our joy in Christ more than ever.
I will spread joy by serving the Lord with a
smile and sharing his Love with my CDA sisters.

I will spread JOY by sharing my spirituality
with the other state officers and sharing
that special connection with the rest of
I will spread joy with better communication
and delegation! Make time to visit each court,
make sure everyone knows she is appreciated.

There are many ways through which one can
spread the Joy in CDA - by listening and helping
with the needs and desires of our membership
and by taking action where necessary. But the
one way that I think always works is by being
available, happy, and joyous yourself!
Joy can come from "Less whining and more wineing." We need to celebrate who we are. I will let
all members know how important they are to me
and to CDA through visits to courts and individual
mailings. My Board and I will go out two-by-two to
visit courts - Senior, Campus and Junior Courts -
to remind them of the value and uniqueness that
each of them bring to the membership. My Board
brings me joy, and I hope with their help to spread
the "Good News" of CDA through that joy.
