BINGO! FOR ARIZONA COURT
After completing training and certification to run BINGO games,
Court St. Gianna Beretta Molla #2634, Miami, Arizona, has held
games once a week at its home church Our Lady of the Blessed
Sacrament. The proceeds from the games assist the parish,
and earnings from the snack bar help the court with its charity
and ministries. In addition, during Blue Ribbon (child abuse
awareness) month, the court donated $960 and a "baby shower"
of supplies to the local domestic violence safe house. In the photo,

Court St. Rose of Lima #2398, Safford, Arizona, received the
prestigious Pride of Safford award which recognizes unsung
local heroes for the difference they make in the community.
Court members raise funds through the church's annual Festival
of Trees, bake sales and other efforts. The money provides
scholarships for deserving students, sponsors a child in
Colombia, helps the Lions Club purchase gas cards so cancer
patients can travel to their doctors in Tucson and Phoenix, lends
financial support to the Mount Graham Safe House, St. Vincent
de Paul Hospice, and miscellaneous emergencies. Regent Helen
Romero said, "This award was only possible because of the
dedication of our members."
