"tremendous impact" Catholic Sisters have had in her life. It
began during her school days at St. Catherine of Alexandria
School in Brooklyn and the Academy of the Sacred Heart of
Mary in the Bronx and continued through her association
with the Sisters of the Catholic Apostolate (also known as
the Pallottine Sisters) from 1957 to the present. Helene says
that the Pallottine Sisters have "enhanced my spirituality
and helped me broaden my outreach as a Catholic woman."
Helene became a Catholic Daughter in 1982 and is a
member of Court Margaret Mary #768, Monroe, New
York. She later instituted Court St. Ann, Mother of Mary
#2419, Washingtonville, New York, while remaining a
member of Court Margaret Mary. She worships at St. Mary's
Parish in Washingtonville where she has been active for 44
years, serving as lector, Eucharistic minister, founder and
director of St. Mary's Little Lambs Preschool, chairman of
the first building campaign, and currently, a parish trustee.

my personal life and in leadership service to the Catholic
Daughters I strive to give back to individuals, church and
community in the spirit of Christ. It is especially heartwarming
to be given this award by SOAR!, which has been so generous
to our beloved sisters, who have, in turn, been so generous
to me from my Catholic childhood to today."
All of you can be proud of this award honor bestowed
upon Helene, and through her, to the Catholic Daughters.
And proud as well of your ongoing generosity to our
wonderful National Project, SOAR!.
