NEW HAMPSHIRE GRANDDAUGHTER
WINS NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP
Grace St. Louis, whose grandmother is a member of
Court John Paul #2602, Penacook, New Hampshire, was
awarded the $1000 national scholarship for an eighth
grader entering ninth grade in a Catholic High School.
Grace wrote in her essay that "Serving God isn't all
about doing big, important things. My faith has taught
me that anyone can serve God. All you have to do is
figure out where God is calling you to help and be willing
to use your talents to help others." In her thank-you
note to National Regent Helene Shepard and National
Director Arline Rich, Grace wrote, "I am excited to start
high school and I'm grateful for the financial assistance.
I know that my parents sacrifice to be able to send me to
a Catholic School, and I'm glad that this scholarship can
help pay for some of my expenses."

DALLAS MEMBER SHARES "JOY OF CHAIRING A JCDA COURT"
"It was a huge leap of faith when my best friend and I started a JCDA Court," said Genie Dunn of Court Mary Immaculate #1719, Dallas,
Texas. "To our amazement, we ended our first year with almost 50 members!" That first year was a learning experience for JCDA Court Mary
Immaculate as the junior officers gradually took ownership. Since then the Juniors have been finding new and helpful ways to help their
parish and community. When Hurricane Harvey struck Houston, in August the Juniors responded proactively and with genuine compassion
to help victims. "This is the future of our church and our CDA." Genie said. "If your court does not yet have a junior court, what are you
waiting for? The right time is now! The joy you will receive is priceless."
