Urbanity - Summer 2008 - (Page 47) “Memorable, yet in due course heartbreaking” 47 helps to eliminate toxins from the body. The shirodhara; try saying that three times fast, is a head massage which starts with oil poured on the forehead then worked through the scalp and is just the most marvelous thing. Dilemma: it does eventually end. Finally, the spa is gorgeous and the treatments, hands down the greatest. So, if you find yourself going to Hong Kong—even if you don’t stay at the Peninsula Hotel, make arrangements to visit the spa there. A memorable, yet in due course heartbreaking experience as living at the spa is not an option. No matter how amazing the spa, Hong Kong is a bit of a schlep for a massage. However, for our members there is Spa to You®. The therapist will come to your home—and there is a definite upside. It may not be true for everyone, but for me the only downside to spa treatments—for example massage, is being relaxed to the point of oblivion, then having to get up, get dressed, and drive home. As long as it lasts, I like to drift in my oblivion. Contact your Lifestyle Concierge at 800.940.3612 to plan your itinerary, or to set up a Spa to You appointment.
