Revision dated November 18, 2008 From Our “You Can’t Make This Up” Department Hallmark Cards, Inc. of Kansas City, MO has issued a recall for approximately 7000 of its jumbo snowman snow globes manufactured in China. According to Hallmark, the snow globes can act as a magnifying glass when exposed to sunlight, igniting nearby combustible materials and posing a fire hazard to consumers. The company has received two reports of the snow globes igniting nearby materials, but no reports of injuries. The recalled jumbo snowman snow globes were sold through Hallmark Gold Crown stores nationwide from October through November 2008 for about $100.
