The Front Panel Card Cage Features all System Controller PC Cards with detailed test and monitoring information. The Model 467 is packaged in a standard 19 inch rack mount chassis that is 12.19 inches high and 28.5 inches deep. Primary power is 120VAC, 60 Hz or TBS. The unit is supplied with IEEE-488, RS-232 or TBS. For further information, contact Applied Systems Engineering, Inc. (817) 249-4180. Intertek recently introduced its new Client Lounge concept at the IEEE EMC 2007 show. The new Client Lounges, to be offered later this year at each of Intertek’s 10 US EMC laboratories, are a part of the company’s national “Compatibility” campaign – demonstrating that EMC testing is more than product compatibility, but compatibility in a testing partner too. As part of the campaign, Intertek has committed to providing EMC clients with queue times as short as 3 days, 24-hour quoting, same-day access to EMC test data, and a quiet, comfortable place to work or just unwind while on-site at Intertek. Each of the 10 Client Lounges will offer a productive workspace, food & beverages, comfortable seating, news and entertainment. Each laboratory will become a showcase for Intertek’s commitment to speed, technical expertise, client convenience, and EMC partner compatibility. Board Mount Terminal Blocks & Connectors Mark-10 Corporation has introduced MESURgauge, a measuring and analysis program designed to expand the functionality of force and torque measuring instruments. MESURgauge captures readings from any force or torque gauge with RS-232 output, and displays data in tabular and graphical formats. Load data can be graphed against time or travel, particularly useful for such applications as spring testing and tensile testing. The program includes a set of tools to analyze test results, including statistical calculations, quick data export to Microsoft Excel, customizable reports, pass/fail indicators and many others. Test setups and sequences are customizable and can be saved and recalled. The user can program test start and stop conditions, including load, time, travel, and sample break. For additional information, contact Mark-10 at (888) MARK-TEN or www.mark-10.com. Curtis Industries has announced a complete line of P.C. Board Mount Terminal Blocks. From center to center of .1 in. (2.54mm) to .4 in. (10.16 mm) and voltage capability up to 750 V. With temperatures up to 240° C (454° F) for 30 seconds suitable for soldering in SMD oven, these blocks offer high quality at competitive prices for electronic PCBs. All products are RoHS compliant and approved by UL, CSA, and VDE. Other features include no whiskers, high clamp pullout force, captive screws, spring clamping system, various colors available, plus more. All of this series are modular, side-stackable to offer the greatest flexibility of terminal configuration. Special configuration can be provided to meet specific application requirements. Quick-Mount, Low Force Metal Gasket Omega Shielding Products’ high-endurance 99-940-WT gasket is engineered for heavy-use EMI shielding and grounding applications. The symmetrical design of the gasket offers low compression resistance and reliable electrical contact between mating surfaces with gaps ranging from 0.1” (2.5mm) to .06” (1.5mm). Installation is fast and easy with a peel-and-stick Instant Tac Adhesive strip on the underside of the gasket. Additionally, the free end of each gasket finger features a fold-under lip that greatly reduces surface friction as the gasket is compressed. For more information or an engineering guide, please contact Omega Shielding Products, Inc. (800) 828-5784 or visit their website www.omegashielding.com. Ultra Compact Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors EPCOS has introduced their new snapin aluminum electrolytic capacitor of the B43305 and B43508 series offering converter solutions with significant space saving benefits. The components feature the same electrical properties as earlier types, but are smaller by up to two case classes, which corresponds to a height reduction of 5 and 10 mm, enabling the design of even smaller power supplies and frequency converters. This miniaturization advance was achieved by the use of new materials, an improved capacitor winding design and an optimized concept for the mechanical construction. The B43305 series covers the capacitance range from 68 to 3300µF and is available for voltages between 200 and 450 V. It has an operating life of 2000 hours at a temperature of 85ºC. For additional information, contact EPCOS capacitor marketing at (800) 888-7729. EMC Single-Phase Filters Offer Increased Attenuation Performance Schaffner EMC has announced it has upgraded its current FN2000 single-phase filter series with two new families of products. The FN 2030 general-purpose EMI filters and the FN 2090 multi-stage EMI filters are RoHS compliant and were developed for applications requiring higher filter performance. The FN 2030 outperforms Schaffner’s existing single-stage EMI filters, the FN 2010 and FN 2020, and has excellent cost-performance ratio. Its uses include consumer goods, household equipment, medical systems, electronic data processing equipment and electrical equipment applications requiring only a single-stage EMI filter. Additional information, dimensions, diagrams and filter selection tables for each new family in the FN 2000 series is available.
