And, new technology is helping CRE professionals manage so much more than real estate portfo- lios. Location decisions, labor issues, and sustainable design strategies are all being influenced by analysis of data and trends. Since CoreNet Global began awarding the H. Bruce Russell Global Innovator’s Awards in 2000, the submissions have grown more and more linked to technological advances (see related story in this issue). Simply consider the 2007 winners and you’ll find tools that will show how long a work force will be viable in a given location, the materials and labor costs of various workplace designs, and project financials on multisite real estate projects.
