It features extensive office space, a client center, a state-ofthe-art learning center and a café. The facility also includes an outdoor plaza and an adjacent 1,200-space parking structure with street-level retail space that is connected via a skywalk. Some of the building’s environmentally friendly aspects include daylight and views to 90 percent of the workspaces, an underfloor air distributions system and use of recycled materials. In addition to delivering the building ontime and with no cost overruns, Johnson Controls also helped plan and execute our move-in strategy, including the relocation of 900 employees, without business interruption. We opened the doors of our new, 280,000-sq.-ft. (26,013-sq.-m.) world headquarters in September of 2007. In terms of facility management for our headquarters, Johnson Controls’ scope of work includes building repair and maintenance, security, HVAC services, energy management, supporting special events and more. Outside of a few remaining contracts we have with outside service providers, all facilityrelated contracts are owned, managed and paid by Johnson Controls. With a team of 14 dedicated onsite Johnson Controls professionals, Manpower is able to leverage the company’s technology to reduce costs and improve service, leverage its supply chain to reduce vendor costs, and leverage its local resources and expertise to improve service and response. siNGle poiNt of accouNtaBility Today, the corporate-owned field location contract serving Manpower and our Right Management and Jefferson Wells subsidiaries calls for Johnson Controls to manage real estate, design, and project services such as site selection, construction management, vendor management, field incidentals and lease database administration. The agreement, which expires in 2010, also covers any new offices that are opened during the life of the contract. In addition, Johnson Controls continues to provide facilities management to our downtown Milwaukee headquarters location.
