In this role I direct the operations, marketing, and strategic direction for our 10,000 person global real estate services organization. We provide services of one type or another in over 2 billion sq. ft. (185.8 million sq. m.) of space globally with a property management and facility management portfolio of over 500 million sq. ft. (46.5 million sq. m.). I joined Cushman & Wakefield after spending 8 years with Jones Lang LaSalle. While at Jones Lang LaSalle I founded their CRM (Client Relationship Management) Program and served as an Account Executive for some of their largest clients, including HSBC Bank and Bank of America. Prior to this role, I was President of Corporate Property Services for JLL and worked hard at integrating the entire firm’s services to better serve their clients. In 1988, I was involved in founding COMPASS Management and Leasing, Inc., a real estate services company. COMPASS began as a provider of leasing and property management services to Institutional Investors and evolved into a comprehensive real estate services company servicing not only Institutional Investors, but also global corporate clients. As president of COMPASS I was involved in all aspects of the business, overseeing its explosive growth through strategic planning, new business, marketing, leasing, development, construction services, and corporate communications. I began my career in 1977 at Wynne/ Jackson, Inc., a Dallas-based developer. During my 10-year stay at Wynne/ Jackson, I got to do it all; gaining experience in heavy construction, property management, brokerage (project and tenant representation), marketing and development. I earned my M.B.A. at Southern Methodist University and my B.S. in Architectural Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. In addition to serving as a member of the Board of Directors for CoreNet Global, I serve as an Honorary Board Member of the Department of Real Estate at Georgia State University. 2 0 0 8 th e le aDe r 74 septemBer / octoBer
