is CEO of Jaguar, Land Rover LONDON — Tata Motors Ltd. named David Smith CEO of Jaguar and Land Rover. Smith, 47, had been Jaguar and Land Rover’s CFO. He has been the companies’ acting CEO since the April 20 death of CEO Geoff Polites. Smith, an Englishman, is a veteran Ford finance and strategy expert. Before being appointed CFO on March 1, he was director of finance and strategy for Ford of Europe and the Premier Automotive Group. Jenkins gets Aston Martin post GAYDON, England — Aston Martin named Julian Jenkins general manager of Aston Martin North America Inc. Jenkins, 39, leaves Bentley Motors Inc., where he had been director of marketing, communications and product for North and South America. He will be responsible for Aston Martin’s sales and service, public relations, marketing and communications. Jenkins replaced John Walton, 50, who retired after eight years in the position. Aston Martin has 38 dealers in North America.
