Peter Kolar never expected to become
a car dealer; his dealer father had a rule
preventing his children from joining the business. But as the
youngest child, Kolar found the rules were bent for him. He joined
the dealership after college and became his father's partner in
1992. Kolar is an avid supporter of the Minnesota/North Dakota/
South Dakota chapter of the ALS Association, sponsoring the
annual Kolar Toyota ALS Walleye Tournament and a yearly Black
Woods Blizzard Tour, a three-day snowmobile ride and fundraiser.
The local Rotary Club recognized his good works by presenting
Kolar its Service Above Self Award.
While in high school, Paul Masse started
working as a lot attendant at a Rhode
Island dealership, eventually being promoted to salesman. He
went on to work as a sales manager and general manager at other
stores before opening his own dealership in 1991. Today he and his
family operate three General Motors stores in Rhode Island. Masse
works to create a positive working environment at his dealership
with a variety of benefits, including education and wellness
programs. He also assists local organizations including his alma
mater, St. Raphael Academy; Villanova University; the Rhode
Island World War II Memorial; and the Rhode Island Community
Food Bank.

Elsie MacMillan began her career as a
bookkeeper for a New Jersey Mercedes-Benz
dealership, working her way up to general manager and eventually
running a sister Lexus dealership for the company. After leaving
the business to work as a consultant for several years, MacMillan
purchased Sierra Toyota in 2002. She contributes to her adopted
home by serving on the Sierra Vista Area Chamber of Commerce.
MacMillan co-chairs the chamber's Military Affairs Committee,
which fosters relationships with nearby Fort Huachuca. The
chamber named her its 2014 Business Person of the Year.

The first in his family to attend college, Todd
Maul started his career as an accountant
at a Nebraska dealership. After working for several dealerships and
spending 12 years with AutoNation, Maul partnered with former
National Football League quarterback John Elway and Mitch
Pierce to open three dealerships. The organization closest to his
heart is Carrie's Cause, a group started by his late wife that delivers
poinsettias to low-income nursing homes during the holidays. Maul
also is a big champion of his children's school, Holy Family High
School in Broomfield, Colo.

After a 13-year career in education, Marcy
Maguire decided to learn how to help run
her husband's dealership. Today she operates Windsor Nissan and
her own insurance agency. Twice named to Automotive News' list
of the 100 Leading Women in the North American Auto Industry,
she has served in leadership roles in the NADA, advocating for
women and women's issues in the industry. Maguire also supports
a variety of local causes, including the New Jersey Dealers Care
USO Barbecue for the Troops, The Valerie Fund, the John Paul
Geijer Memorial Foundation and Catholic Charities' Providence
House Domestic Violence Services.

While playing on an American Legion
baseball team sponsored by a local
dealership, Matt McKay was given the opportunity to work
part-time at the store while attending Louisiana State University.
He purchased his first dealership in 1987, and now his All Star
Automotive Group encompasses 11 Louisiana stores. Raised by
two educators, McKay is focused on investing in public schools,
especially in Baton Rouge. He led the 1991 establishment of
the Ascension Fund for Academic Excellence, which has given
more than $1.4 million in grants to teachers and schools. He also
spearheaded a 10-year effort to create the McKay Automotive
Technology Center at Baton Rouge Community College.
