The last time fewer units were produced in January was in 1993, when 1,051,580 vehicles were produced. This January, U.S. car production fell 1.5 percent, Canada car output fell 25.9 percent, Mexico car output rose 23.4 percent and North America car output fell 1.6 percent. U.S. truck output fell 2.1 percent, Canada truck output fell 21.9 percent, Mexico truck production was up 41.0 percent and North America truck production fell 2.6 percent.
