Garmin makes navigation technology deal OLATHE, Kan. — Garmin International Inc. will provide the navigation technology for Ford Motor Co.’s 2009 Ford E-series vans, F-150 pickups and F-series Super Duty trucks. The component will be a part of Ford’s work solutions system, which allows customers to complete business functions from their vehicles. The indash computer will offer traditional navigation tools along with highspeed Internet access. Ford work solutions will be available on the three vehicles in the fall. Garmin, based here, makes navigation, communication and information devices. Tenneco wins Ford work LAKE FOREST, Ill. — Tenneco Inc. has won a hot-end emission control contract for Ford Motor Co. vehicles launching in 2009 and 2010. Tenneco will supply the exhaust system for the Ford F-150 pickup, Expedition SUV and Econoline van and Lincoln Navigator SUV. Tenneco already supplies mufflers and tailpipes for the F-150, Expedition and Navigator. Additional emission controls on the gasoline and diesel versions of the F-250 and F-350 make Tenneco the full supplier of exhaust systems for Ford trucks. Tenneco also will supply exhaust systems on select Ford mid- and upper mid-sized vehicles for the 2010 model year. Tenneco, based here, makes emission and ride control products. Merger produces turnaround firm The automotive turnaround firm Barefoot, Cramer & Associates LLC has joined the accounting and management consulting firm Doeren Mayhew to create Doeren Mayhew BCA LLC in suburban Detroit.
