FIXED OPS JOURNAL U N V E I L E D AT SEMA What the well-appointed service department will be featuring in 2018 The annual Specialty Equipment Market Association show in Las Vegas is the place for auto enthusiasts to check out the latest and coolest in accessories and technology. This fall's show also displayed new products for the shop that plenty of fixed ops directors are likely to place on their wish lists. Here are some. Collision Advantage Supplier: ALLDATA Price: $259/ month What it does: For dealerships that operate body shops, Collision Advantage builds on previous ALLDATA products to provide data the company says shops need to align diagnostics and repairs with automakers' criteria and alerts. It promises one-click access to estimating information and analysis. SEMA gave Collision Advantage its new product award in the collision repair category at this year's show. ValveStem Signpost Supplier: Chariot Concepts Price: $99.95 (retail) for 25 clips What it does: The ValveStem Signpost is a sign clip for wheels and tire/wheel assemblies. It screws onto the valve stem, providing a swivel mount while avoiding potentially damaging contact with other wheel faces. The supplier says it's better than tape or other clips for use in dealership displays of tires and wheels. PAGE 30 DECEMBER 2017 XA14 alignment scissor lift Supplier: Rotary Lift Price: $24,000 base price; $47,800 fully loaded What it does: This new lift can handle four-wheel alignments on everything from a subcompact car to a work truck.
