CULTURE FIX WEDNESDAY, JULY 25 The Metropolitan Opera will kick off its SUMMER RECITAL SERIES at 8 p.m. at Central Park SummerStage with performances by soprano Danielle de Niese, bass-baritone John Del Carlo, tenor Dimitri Pittas and pianist Dan Saunders. THURSDAY, JULY 26 The Prospect Park Junior Committee will host its 10TH ANNUAL SUMMER SOIREE. The event includes cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, boat rides and a DJ. Attendees must be 21 or older. It will be held at the Boathouse in Prospect Park. A preparty begins at 6:45 p.m, and the soiree begins at 7:30 p.m. Trolleys from Grand Army Plaza will be available starting at 7 p.m. Tickets for the event start at $85, and packages that include the preparty start at patrick mcmullan Hotel magnate IRA DRUKIER with his wife, GALE DRUKIER, at the Parrish Art Museum’s 2012 Midsummer Party in Southampton. The museum, founded in 1897, is undergoing an expansion that will triple its exhibition space and allow it to present loan exhibitions and works from the permanent collection simultaneously. DON’T MISS LONDON COMES TO NY FRIDAY, JULY 27 To coincide with the opening of the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympic Games, the Museum of the City of New York will debut a LONDON STREET PHOTOGRAPHY exhibit. It will feature 160 street-scene photographs of iconic images of the city from 1860 to 2010. A smaller companion exhibit on New York will also be on display. The museum, located at 1220 Fifth Ave., is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The suggested admission price is $20 for families, $10 for adults, $6 for seniors and students, and free for children under 12 and members.
