DON’T MISS PICASSO BLACK AND WHITE STARTING FRIDAY, OCTOBER 5 Get ready for lines around the block when the PICASSO BLACK AND WHITE exhibition opens at the Guggenheim Museum. It features 118 paintings, sculptures and works on paper in a black-and-white palette. During the exhibit, the museum will be open for two additional hours, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays and Mondays. The show runs through Jan. 23. The museum is located at 1071 Fifth Ave., at East 89th Street. Broadway producer DARYL ROTH and her son JORDAN ROTH, a Broadway theater owner and producer, at the American Theatre Wing’s annual gala on Sept. 24. The gala raised nearly $600,000, a record for the nonprofit. AMAR’E STOUDEMIRE of the New York Knicks and ALEXIS WELCH at the Metropolitan Opera season-opening gala on Sept. 24 at Lincoln Center. The event raised $6.2 million for the opera. OPENING WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 3 The 27th annual NEW PHOTOGRAPHY exhibit will open at the Museum of Modern Art. The show will highlight the work of five artists and runs through Feb. 4.
