Hello Mrs. President!
The Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers and
Distributors association (ICMAD) is restructuring their company by eliminating the position of executive director and replacing it with the newly created position of president/CEO. Penni Jones, the last executive director of ICMAD, held her position for nearly 20 years and announced her retirement in early July. The new position of president/CEO was awarded to Pam Busiek, who will now be responsible for running the day-today activities of the association. “This is a very exciting time in the world of beauty and cosmetics,” Busiek said. “As one who has a passion for the industry and as an entrepreneur, it is a Pam Busiek privilege to steward ICMAD.” As for Jones, she will stay with the company as a consultant. “We will miss Penni’s day-to-day involvement but look forward to expanding on the foundation she built,” Busiek added.
You Can’t Take the “licious”
Out of a Jersey Girl
So how do those guidettes get their Snooki poofs to last all day and night? The ladies of Jerseylicious get a little help from Cricket. The Cricket Company has been named the sponsor for this season of the Style Network’s hit show Jerseylicious. The show, which follows the personal and professional lives of hair and make-up stylists working at the
Gatsby Salon in New Jersey are frequently seen using Cricket products in their salon. On the season premiere of the show, which aired May 15, the salon participated in a Cut-a-Thon aiming to break the Guinness Book of World Records for most quality haircuts in eight hours. The stylists shattered the current record of 201 by performing 246 quality cuts. For all 246 record-breaking cuts, the stylists used tools from Cricket Company including their Centrix Q-Zone Dryers, Friction Free Slim and Sleek Irons, Friction Free Brushes and, since it is Jerseylicious...stylish Zebra and Leopard capes.
