EDITOR’S NOTEBOOK Home is Where the Product Is The votes are in! Launchpad unveils its 8th annual Readers Choice Awards. Everyone said I was crazy. And maybe I was, but it was so worth it. As you know, I had my daughter Lily back in August. But what you don’t know is, in addition to preparing for my new bundle of joy, I was finalizing Launchpad ’s 10th anniversary issue, preparing for 2012, and buying a house. It was the buying-the-house part that put my stress level through the roof, so to speak. Endless mountains of paperwork, bidding on dream homes only to have them slip through my fingers and then packing amount of work involved, from tallying the tens of thousands of votes to unpacking each of the 215 winning products— believe me when I say that our offices resemble a warehouse before we’re done. OK, so maybe the Readers Choice Awards isn’t quite as nerve-wracking as buying a new home, but I can tell you that it’s certainly wonderful to sit back and admire the results. Thank you to everyone who voted. We can’t wait till next year! Through the efforts of our amazing team, we’re able to create beauty and order out of cardboard chaos. Amy Dodds, Executive Editor 14 12.11 Amy and Readers Choice products: Armando Sanchez while nine months pregnant (I don’t recommend it). But the payoff was that my family was settled into our new home a full week before the baby came. You may laugh when I compare compiling our annual Readers Choice Awards with buying a home, but I swear the experience is on par. There’s an insane
