In response to recent proposed state measures to deregulate occupational licensing—specifically in the cosmetology industry—the Professional Beauty Association (PBA) launched a new campaign in support of licensed professionals. “I Am A Professional. I Am Licensed” seeks to spread awareness on the importance of occupational licensing and arms pros with information and materials to educate their clients, community and state lawmakers on the controversial issue. PBA’s campaign materials for licensed professionals include a free window cling to display along with talking points to share with clients about the health and safety risks that can occur with unlicensed stylists.
