The ridges and canyons offer beautiful views and sheltered enclaves for inspiration, varied terrain for recreation, and a 240-million year slice of geologic time for education. Located off Highway 24, just west of Colorado Springs, this park offers convenient parking, a bike obstacle course, an off-leash area for dogs, well-marked trails and a new open-air pavilion. www.springsgov.com u Off-Leash Dog Parks – Colorado Springs was voted by Forbes Magazine as the #1 Pet-Friendly City and by Men’s Fitness Magazine as the “Best City for Dogs.” This is due, in part, to the many off-leash parks and open spaces to be enjoyed by you and your best friend. These parks are free to the public and dogs may be off-leash as long as they are under voice command and well-behaved. Locations include designated areas in Garden of the Gods Park, Red Rock Canyon Open Space, Palmer Park, Cheyenne Meadows Park, and Rampart Park. The Bear Creek Dog Park includes a fenced-in, small dog area and was recently voted as one of the country’s top 10 dog parks. www.elpasoco.com/parks a d n www.springsgov.com http://www.Pikes-Peak.com http://www.raftmasters.com http://www.elpasoco.com/parks http://www.springsgov.com http://www.elpasoco.com/parks http://www.springsgov.com http://www.raftmasters.com
