lights, sights & lasers u.s. tour:
lessons learned by training law
enforcement across the country
Wes Doss, PhD
The importance of detailed use of force
training for law enforcement is very clear. As
caretakers of public trust and safety, you must
be operationally ready at any time to perform
assigned tasks or respond to spontaneous
unexpected circumstances with swift precision.
However, there is a significant difference, state
to state, in how these modern day warriors
are trained and conditioned for performance
in austere environments, that has created
significant disparities.
During the Lights, Sights & Lasers 2013 U.S.
Tour: Only Hits Count, the presenter and the
training staff of Khyber Interactive Associates
LLC had the distinct honor of working firsthand with hundreds of agencies across the
country that represented an extreme range
of jurisdictions and assignments. Through
this workshop, students receive basic through
advanced training techniques for Lights, Sights
and Lasers and their application in today's
modern combat weapons under demanding,
real-world conditions. This dynamic and
interactive presentation will provide an
insightful recap of the 2013 LSL Tour and
launch the 2014 Host Agency locations. It
will also include the benefit of addressing
law enforcement training challenges and the
lifesaving equipment we can depend on.

emergency breaching
techniques for the first
responder
The increase in active shooter incidents poses
breaching challenges at all levels of policing.
