Colorado Singles Resource Guide - Fall 2007 - (Page 13) ETHNICITY Light now fills Pola’s home and heart, and she claims, “I am a very happy person, and I believe when you’re happy, doors start to open for you. I’m like a child filled with awe when opportunity strikes. I go through the doors, and I have created a new life for myself. I love to dance through an organization called Dance of Universal Peace, I meditate, do yoga and I changed my diet to being meat and sugar free.” The relationship with her children has also changed. “I come from a very structured culture, but I’ve become more open in how I communicate, especially with my children. We talk about anything and everything. My heart is now open, and I no longer judge people. I am Jewish, and I love going to Synagogue, but I wanted to get more out of it, so in 2001 “I am a very happy person, and I believe when you’re happy, doors start to open for you.” I started learning Hebrew and I had my adult Bat-Mitzvah. That same year I bought a new townhouse, leaving the home I lived in with my family for 25 years. I moved only my mattress. I wanted all new things, nothing that was tied to my old life or marriage. It’s very cleansing to clean out your closets and things from your past. It’s like cleaning your soul.” Three proposals of marriages have come Pola’s way, but she’s holding out for her soul mate. “I’m still growing and changing, and it’s wonderful. I long to be in a healthy relationship with a communicative man who is trustworthy. Trust is vital to me. And I know the man who marries me will be very happy, as I am a wonderful cook.
