Williams, MD, is chief of Hematology/Oncology and director of translational research, Boston Children’s Hospital; associate chairman of the Department of Pediatric Oncology, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute; Leland Fikes Professor of Pediatrics, Harvard Medical School; and director of the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Fellowship Program, Dana-Farber/ Children’s Hospital Cancer Center, in Boston, MA. A graduate of Indiana State University and Indiana University School of Medicine, Dr. Williams trained in pediatrics at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Center and then completed his fellowship training in pediatric hematol- David A. Williams, MD Stephanie J. Lee, MD, MPH Jonathan D. Licht, Margaret A. MD Shipp, MD ogy/oncology at Boston Children’s Hospital/Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. He completed his research training at the Cancer Center and Whitehead Institute at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Dr. Williams’ major fields of interest include molecular mechanisms that underlie hematopoiesis, gene transfer into hematopoietic stem cells, and the management of children with hematologic diseases. He will serve a one-year term as vice president, followed by successive one-year terms as presidentelect and president. Secretary Stephanie J. Lee, MD, MPH, is a member of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and professor of medical oncology, University of Washington School of Medicine, in Seattle, WA. Dr. Lee is an attending physician in the Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation Program at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance.
