However, if you do decide to explore the vibrant city, it is fairly easy to navigate. From any one of the neighboring hotels, both taxis and MARTA, Atlanta’s mass transit system, are readily available. Shuttle Bus Service ASH will provide complimentary shuttle service between hotels in ASH’s housing block and the GWCC. Service will not be provided for Embassy Suites Centennial Park, the Omni Hotel at CNN Center, or The Glenn Hotel, as they are within walking distance of the GWCC. Service frequency will vary throughout the day. Midday ser- T Buses, Trains, and Automobiles – Getting Around Atlanta vice will not be provided to hotels in the Northwest Perimeter, Perimeter Center, or the Century Center areas of Atlanta. Shuttles will run during the periods listed below. MARTA – Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority With 38 rail stations covering nearly 50 miles and 554 diesel and compressed natural gas buses covering more than 91 bus routes, MARTA services an average of 482,500 passengers per day making it the eighth busiest in the country. Trains run every 20 minutes, except during peak hours when they run every 10 minutes. Peak hours are commuter hours, 6:00 to 9:30 a.m. and 3:00 to 7:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Keep in mind that MARTA trains do not run 24 hours. Trains run from 5:00 to 1:00 a.m. on weekdays and until 12:30 a.m. on weekends. The MARTA fare is $1.75 each way. Stretch your fare by requesting a transfer at the station if you are planning to use both the rail and bus to reach your destination. There is a MARTA station in the airport that you can access to get to the GWCC. This includes one transfer at Five Points Station to the West line. For meeting attendees staying outside of the city center, the rail system services areas such as Buckhead and Sandy Springs/ Dunwoody.
