ASH News Daily Monday, December 9, 2013 Page B-7 ® Bing Zhang, MD, MS, Receives Mary Rodes Gibson Memorial Award B ing Zhang, MD, MS, is the 2013 recipient of the Mary Rodes Gibson Memorial Award in Hemostasis and Thrombosis. This award, part of the Outstanding Abstract Achievement Award program, is granted to a trainee who is the first author and presenter of the highestscoring abstract submitted in the field of hemostasis and thrombosis. "Receiving this award and the experience gained from this study render me more motivated and passionate to pursue research in the field of he- mostasis and thrombosis," Dr. Zhang commented. The memorial award honors the named decedent who suffered from type III von Willebrand disease and is made possible by the Mary Rodes Gibson HemostasisThrombosis Foundation. Dr. Zhang, a clinical pathology resident at Stanford Hospital, is a graduate of Shandong University, China, where she received both her graduate and medical degrees. Upon relocating to the United States, she completed a postdoctoral research IN HEMATOLOGIC MALIGNANCIES, TARGETING JUST ONE PI3K ISOFORM MAY NOT BE ENOUGH. fellowship at Stanford University in the Department of Pathology.
