Georgia Vogelsang Honored With 2013 ASH Exemplary Service Award F or her extraordinary commitment and service to the Society's Blood Journal, Image Bank, and Education Program, ASH will recognize Georgia B. Vogelsang, MD, professor of oncology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, with the 2013 Exemplary Service Award. Established in 1998, this service award recognizes individuals whose excellence in service, extending over a period of years, has significantly advanced the interests of the Society. Within the Society, Dr. Vogelsang has been a leader on many fronts. She served as the co-chair of the Education Program for the 2005 ASH annual meeting, editor of the 2005 edition of Hematology, and served as chair of the Transplantation Subcommittee.
