Presenting the Linda Crane Lecture, Sandy Cassidy, PT, PhD, will discuss “From Silos to Bridges: Preparing Effective Teams for a Better Delivery System,” exploring the World Health Organization’s Framework for Action on Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Practice, which calls for the preparation of a collaborativeready workforce to meet global health needs. Cassidy will deliver the Linda Crane Lecture Tuesday, January 22, 3:00 pm–5:00 pm. Elizabeth Mostrom, PT, PhD, will present the Pauline Cerasoli Lecture, titled “Life Lessons: Teaching for Learning That Lasts,” on Wednesday, January 23, 3:00 pm–5:00 pm. Mostrom will encourage all educators to use the power of narrative to transform “everyday” experiences and “ordinary” teachable moments into lasting life lessons. Finally, the 30th Annual Eugene Michels Research Forum will feature speakers Catherine E. Lang, PT, PhD, Steven Wolf, PT, PhD, Deborah Backus, PT, PhD, Joseph Schreiber, PT, PhD, PCS, and Rachel Tappan, PT, MPT, who with their strongly divergent backgrounds in research and clinical practice will discuss their efforts to translate research findings into treatment and assessment protocols. The forum is scheduled for Thursday, January 24, 3:00 pm–5:00 pm, with approximately half the session focusing heavily on audience participation.
