Europe, England Loftis’s goal was to see as much as he could on his study abroad trip. And he did, traveling more than anyone in the entire program. “Part of it was filling out a checklist,” he said. His four days in Greece were most memorable. “The people were amazing to us and the food was sensational,” Loftis said. “Greece has an incredible historical culture.” For Loftis, the experience was having gone to places that he never thought possible. “I climbed the Eifel Tower, visited the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Vatican and saw Michelangelo’s David,” he said. Other than exploring Europe, Loftis attended classes in international and comparative law and comparative property law. Students also had the opportunity to meet with local judges and attorneys. “Vanderbilt [staff ] gave us considerable opportunities to do separate trips,” he said. email: InternationalLaw@scu.edu www.scu.ed u/l aw/i nt er nat i onal Thirteenth May 25–June 21, 2008 Earn up to 6 credits studying International Economic Law, International Human Rights Law and/or International Environmental Law in Europe this summer.
