Venice, Barcelona From getting her ATM card stolen to getting sick, Blount had quite an experience on her second study abroad trip. The study abroad program, she said, gives you a chance to find yourself again. “Coming out of your first year of law school, you lose sight of who you are and you kind of start to question what you are about – professionally and personally,” she said. Blount really appreciated the less touristy areas. “You get more of a taste of Venice as a culture than Venice as an icon,” she said. And please, don’t eat at McDonald’s, she said. Eat at local restaurants. “Most of what you learn is outside the classroom,” Blount said. To be on the super safe side, bring two debit cards, she said.
