In fact, Northwestern University School of Law has courses on international securities regulation and international financial markets. But many large law firms have offices in other midwestern cities, including Cleveland, Cincinnati, Minneapolis and Indianapolis. Agricultural law and environmental law are big in many areas of the Midwest, both in terms of law study and law practice — The University of Montana School of Law has a course in agricultural law and a joint J.D./Masters in environmental studies. Earn: ■ ■ a quality University of California education credits needed to practice law in the U.S. Full-time and part-time options available. The West The birthplace of much of modern technology, some schools in the West offer a great opportunity to study technology law and intellectual property in an international context. At Stanford Law School, for example, you can study international intellectual property law and cyber law, and USC Gould School of Law has an intellectual property and technology law clinic. The West is also the place to be for entertainment law. At UCLA School of Law, for instance, students can take music industry law and contemporary issues in entertainment and media law. Finally, trade with Asia is another hot topic: Several law schools offer courses in the laws of Asian countries and many law firms focus on this specialty.
